Bill Patterson is our South Hall June Rotarian of the Month. Bill has been an active member of The Rotary Club of South Hall County since 2008. He has held all the offices of the club at one time or another.
He is currently serving as our club treasurer and has help our club navigate into the digital age by starting the process of transitioning us to taking electronic payments. That may sound pretty common place to most but it has taken time for the centuries old organization to move into the modern age!
Bill holds the distinction of being a Paul Harris Fellow and was club’s Rotarian of the year for 2013-2014. While Club president in 2011-2012, the club had very successful golf tournament with The Braselton Rotary Club where they raised over $13,000 for each club.
He has been and continues to be a big supporter of Rotary’s mission to eradicate Polio. He also holds numerous certificates and completions in the Rotary world. However, Bill’s life does not just revolve around Rotary.
Today, through service projects with Rotary, Bill has found a new passion for the Jambos Organization that provides PJ’s for foster children. In addition, he is passionate about working with Send Out Cards and is diligent in making sure you know he remembers every anniversary and birthday!
In his free time, he can be found spending as much time as possible with his beloved grandson Braxton! You might be able to catch them on the latest episode of #MunchPak with Braxton and Pops – where they dabble in the world of video reviews. Bill is quite the social media video novice. He also enjoys spending time with friends at local festivals, networking, and the beach.
Anyone who knows Bill knows he has a unique and genuine sense of humor that is hard to replicate! We love Bill’s continued dedicated service to our club and appreciate his well-deserved recognition as Rotarian of the Month!
