South Hall Rotary presents the Run, Run Rudolph Challenge. Santa’s reindeer need a little extra help this year and we want the running community to help! We need Santa to help us deliver polio vaccines and extra toys to needy familites. So, we are bringing to you a fall/winter challenge to help challenge you to stay fit while social distancing during the holidays and help us raise funds for the Polio Plus Foundation and Community Care and Share.
Have you ever thought about how far Santa actually flies when he makes his annual trip around the globe? How many miles do those reindeer actually have to take they sleigh? Well, this year is a little more difficult because Santa is making some stops early to help so many who are struggling because of COVID-19.
So we are asking you to help Santa make one extra trip or 24,901 Miles around the globe starting October 24th and ending on December 24th. Choose a distance and let’s work together so that Santa can help two very special causes over the holiday season.
How it works
Choose a distance goal to complete – each time you log your miles your results will be calculated with the other “reindeer” to show you how far you’ve helped Santa get around the globe. Work together with the other reindeer to collectively log 24,901 miles around the world as many times as we can! You can run or walk anywhere you want, inside or outside as long as you log the miles. You do not have to run or walk each day, you just have to finish the total distance you committed to along the way before it’s time for Santa to come down your chimney!
You can choose to have a reminder each day to log your distances as well as daily updates with your location and cumulative distanced logged. We will have a live leader board on the results page for you to see how you place among the other participants daily! We ask that you join our Facebook Group Page and tag any of your photos on social media with the #RRRudolphChallenge so we can follow along!
