Margaux Dolenc named Rotarian of the Year

Rotarian of the Year

When the South Hall Rotary Club welcomed Margaux Dolenc into the club during 2019, they had no idea what an amazing young lady had joined their organization. However, it became amazingly clear this year that she was an asset to the group from the first day.

Margaux’s drive to jump in with both feet during our service projects were quickly recognized by club members.  She not only showed up but twice during the year she worked to oversee youth in our community work with us to be of service.

Margaux joined the club this past year as the Foundation Chair.  Her experience working with grants in her professional role with the North Georgia Community Foundation gave our club the expertise we needed to complete our work toward obtaining grants from the Rotary Foundation. She was instrumental in keeping up with the data need to successfully complete the grant process.

Because of her stellar effort to go above and beyond when called upon, she was recently recognized as the South Hall Rotary Rotarian of the Year because of her selfless service to our community and our chapter.

2019-2020 Club President Rena Pendley stated, “Margaux jumped in, learn, and participate in almost every service project club as a club last year. She was always willing to help out and give us ideas!”

Margaux, who holds the position of Director, Grants & Community Partnerships with the North Georgia Community Foundation, loves animals and spending time with her family.  If you don’t know this amazing young woman, we hope that you will take the opportunity to get to know her better in the coming months.
