Welcoming our 2019-2020 Club Officers as Rotary Connects the World

Rotary has officially entered our new service year and the South Hall Rotary club is excited about the possibilities that lay on the horizon.  With each new year, we look at what worked well for us in the previous year and what we can do better to serve our communities both locally and globally.

The new year also brings on new club officers.  We would like to welcome those who are willing to put service above self this upcoming year to help lead our club. This year’s officers are:

  • President: Rena Pendley
  • President-Elect: Amanda Groover
  • Executive Secretary: Brenda McMillan
  • Treasurer: Bill Patterson
  • Membership Chair: Brain Cantel
  • Public Relations Chair: Mandy Volpe
  • Family of Rotary: Christy Moore
  • Co Sergeant-at-Arms: Tim Hayes & Jerry Shingleton
  • Club Fundraising Chair: Sean Childers
  • Youth Services Chair: Jay Kelly

New club President Rena Pendley states that “In line with the 2019-20 Rotary International theme – Rotary Connects the World – I hope and wish that we, as members of South Hall Rotary, will look for ways to strengthen how our Rotary Connects with our community and with the World.”

2019-2020 Theme

Each year the Rotary International President selects a theme for the year to encourage a spirit of service around that theme.  This year’s official theme is Rotary Connects the World. Rena’s goal for this year is that every club member makes the Service Above Self a daily action as she looks forward to serving with all our members for 2019-2020.

“I hope that all our club members will build connections with other talented people in our community to unite and take meaningful action through our Rotary service.”

Rena Pendley, 2019-2020 Club President

The South Hall Rotary club regularly meets on Wednesdays at The Oaks at Lanier Career Academy during the school year and can be found participating in events across South Hall during the summer months.
